EVA Air has embarked on a significant fleet expansion and modernization program by finalizing a firm order with Airbus. This strategic acquisition includes 18 advanced long-range A350-1000s and 15 A321neo aircraft, marking a substantial enhancement to EVA Air’s operational capabilities. The move places EVA Air among the leading global carriers opting for the A350-1000 for long-haul flights, while the A321neo will revamp its regional network with unmatched efficiency.
Clay Sun, the President of EVA Air, emphasized the thorough evaluation process leading to this decision. The choice of the A350-1000 and A321neo represents a commitment not only to providing unparalleled passenger comfort but also aligns with EVA Air’s sustainability goals.
“For long-range operations, the A350-1000 sets new standards in its class and will allow us to offer our passengers the best possible in-flight experience,”

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President of Sales, Commercial Aircraft, expressed gratitude for EVA Air’s confidence in Airbus. He highlighted the A350-1000’s role as a natural replacement for previous generation aircraft in the larger widebody category, setting new benchmarks in range, payload, and fuel efficiency.
“We also thank EVA for reaffirming its commitment to the latest generation Airbus single aisle family with its first direct purchase of the A321neo.”
