Airbus A321XLR in Riyadh Air Livery at Paris Air Show 2025
Airbus will be presenting its A321XLR in Riyadh Air livery at the Paris Air Show 2025, taking place at Paris-Le Bourget Airport from June 16 to 22. The highlighted aircraft, registered as F-WWBZ, recently received its new colors in Hamburg and displays Riyadh Air’s signature pearl, purple, and lilac design as the airline prepares to begin scheduled operations later this year.
Riyadh Air, a new entrant to the airline market, recently placed an order for 60 Airbus A321neo aircraft. This move marks a significant milestone both for Airbus and the airline, reflecting Riyadh Air’s commitment to operating an efficient and modern fleet while supporting the broader growth of Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector.
Riyadh Air prepares for launch
Riyadh Air is setting ambitious plans in motion by securing orders for both the Airbus A321neo and the Boeing 787-9. With 60 of the A321neo family and 72 Dreamliners in the pipeline, the airline intends to offer a diverse fleet that supports a broad network and varied route structure.
The only aircraft currently displaying the airline’s full livery is a Boeing 787-9, registered as HZ-RXX and known as ‘Jamila’. This jet, on lease for now, plays a key part in the airline’s foundations, being used for pilot instruction, crew familiarization, and technical preparedness. Once commercial operations commence, Jamila is slated to be retained as a spare for operational contingencies.

Receiving the Air Operators Certificate marks a crucial step for Riyadh Air as it confirms the airline meets regulatory and safety requirements under both national and international aviation frameworks.
