Qatar Airways unveils new Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup livery
In the past few days, Qatari flag carrier; Qatar Airways has unveiled a new livery for the FIFA world cup which is due to be held in Doha, Qatar in 2 years time.

The FIFA world cup will begin on the 21st, November 2022 in Doha. With only 2 years to go until the event kicks off, Qatar Airways is gearing up for one of its busiest periods ever with the airline expected to fly passengers from across the globe to the game in Qatar. Along with this Doha’s Hamad International is currently undergoing expansion to cope with added demand, expected from the world cup; to handle over 58 million passengers annually by 2022.

The first of many aircraft to receive, this special livery flew its inaugural flights yesterday (21/11/20) to the home of FIFA-Switzerland. The aircraft operated QR095 from Doha to Zurich and the return leg as QR096. The Doha-based airline is expected to roll out the livery onto many more aircraft in the coming months in the build-up to 2022. With the Qatar airways fleet comprising of the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 Families along with the Boeing 777, 787-8 & -9 at present the livery may be applied to a certain fleet type EG:777 or may be applied to a set number from each fleet.
