Emirates has unveiled the initial destinations that will be graced by its brand-new A350 aircraft, set to enter service in September 2024. With ten A350s expected to join the fleet by March 2025, the airline said that it will elevate passenger experiences on short and medium-haul routes across the Middle East, West Asia, and Europe.
These first ten A350s will boast a luxurious three-cabin configuration, featuring 32 cutting-edge Business Class seats, 21 plush Premium Economy seats, and a generous 259 Economy Class seats. This deployment marks a significant shift, strategically targeting shorter routes within the Emirates network. Emirates has recently announced that they will offer High-Speed Inflight Broadband on their Airbus A350s.

“The A350 is a game-changer for Emirates,” declared Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer. He emphasized the aircraft’s superior operating efficiency and flexibility, allowing the airline to cater to regional points with unmatched ease. This strategic move strengthens Emirates’ commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences, particularly on short and medium-haul journeys.
Passengers can expect a significant expansion of the sought-after Premium Economy cabin, alongside the opportunity to experience the next-generation Business Class on shorter routes. This infusion of luxury across various geographies ensures Emirates maintains its industry-leading position and competitive edge.
The initial rollout will see the A350 gracing the following destinations:
Within the Middle East and GCC:
- Daily service to Bahrain (EK839/840) commences September 15th, with frequency increasing to two daily services from November 1st.
- Kuwait will be the next to welcome the A350 on its daily service (EK853/854) starting September 16th.
- Muscat’s daily service (EK866/867) will transition to the A350 from December 1st.
Expanding into West Asia:
- Mumbai will be connected via the A350 on service EK502/503 from October 27th.
- Ahmedabad’s daily service (EK538/539) will also see the A350 take the reins from October 27th.
- Colombo’s fourth daily service (EK654/655) will be served by the A350 from January 1st, 2025.
European Delights:
- The A350 will touch down in Lyon daily from December 1st.
- Bologna will be another European city embracing the A350’s arrival, starting December 1st.
- Edinburgh rejoins the Emirates network on November 4th, operated by the A350. Further details are forthcoming.
Emirates said it will announce additional destinations as more A350s join the fleet in the coming months. Flights to these A350 destinations are already available for booking.
