LIMA 2025 Takes Off: Malaysian Ministry of Defence and GEC Partner for Innovation in Aerospace and Maritime Industries

The Malaysian Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Global Exhibitions and Conferences Sdn Bhd (GEC) announced a collaborative effort to host the 17th edition of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) in 2025. The event, scheduled for May 20th to 24th, promises a platform for industry leaders to showcase advancements and forge partnerships in the aerospace and maritime sectors.

Carrying the theme “Innovate Today, Thrive Tomorrow,” LIMA 2025 emphasizes progress and adaptation in a dynamic global landscape. The press release highlights the event’s established reputation, with “significant interest” already garnered from international industry leaders.

The Deputy Defence Minister of Malaysia, YB Tuan Adly bin Zahari, officiated at the launch ceremony, underlining the government’s strong support for the exhibition’s success. GEC, the co-organizer, is actively collaborating with strategic partners including Arabian World Events, QUBE Integrated Malaysia, and industry associations like MAIA and MiGHT. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to a well-organized and impactful event.

LIMA 2025 aims to expand its reach beyond established players. The press release mentions the introduction of new segments specifically designed to attract participation from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the aerospace and maritime sectors, both domestically and internationally.
