Delta Air Lines is taking its onboard dining to a whole new level by introducing Shake Shack cheeseburgers on select flights from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), starting December 1, 2024. This exciting collaboration promises to enhance the culinary experience for travelers, delivering one of America’s favorite comfort foods at 35,000 feet.
Delta Air Lines has announced plans to gradually expand Shake Shack offerings to other U.S. markets throughout 2025. Initially, First-Class passengers on flights over 900 miles will have the exclusive option to pre-select the Shake Shack Cheeseburger as their meal. This addition underscores Delta’s commitment to providing a premium dining experience that resonates with its customers’ tastes.
Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Delta’s Onboard Service, expressed her excitement about the partnership, noting the universal appeal of burgers.
“A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food – our customers know that, which is why burgers are one of the top ordered menu items we offer, and we’re thrilled to elevate the offering with Shake Shack”
Laster also highlighted the deeper alignment between Delta Air Lines and Shake Shack, emphasizing shared values.
“Shake Shack’s people-first culture and commitment to enriching their neighborhoods are spot on with our own brand values of service excellence and helping the communities we serve.”
Passengers opting for the Shake Shack Cheeseburger can look forward to a meal that offers customizable elements. The burger is served with toppings such as tomato, lettuce, and Shake Shack’s signature ShackSauce on the side, allowing travelers to craft their own ShackBurger. Accompanying the burger are chips, a Caesar salad, and a rich dark chocolate brownie inspired by Shake Shack’s popular Shack Attack dessert flavors.
Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack, expressed pride in this groundbreaking partnership.
“At Shake Shack, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to meet our guests where they are, even at 35,000 feet, taking our beloved cheeseburger to new heights, Shake Shack is proud to partner with Delta as we elevate the in-flight dining and hospitality experience for travelers across the country.”
Delta Air Lines ensures ease and convenience for passengers wishing to indulge in this premium offering. The Shake Shack Cheeseburger will be available for pre-selection, allowing customers to make or modify their meal choices up to 24 hours before departure. This can be done via the Fly Delta app or through an email link provided seven days before the flight.
