Riyadh Air Reveals Interior Cabin Design of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Riyadh Air reveals interior cabin design for its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet which will welcome the airline’s first passengers later this year. As the world’s first “digital-native airline,” Riyadh Air showcased the sophisticated design of its new Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.

Striking Interior Reflects Saudi Heritage
“The use of color and materials that reflect Saudi heritage, combined with detailed craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology, and superior amenities, ensures passengers across all cabin classes; from Economy to Business Elite, enjoy an exceptional flight experience,” – Riyadh Air
The interior design and cabin configuration will be uniform across all 40 Boeing 787-9 aircraft, each accommodating 290 passengers.
Business Elite and Business Class

The premium Business Elite cabin features four exclusive seats, including a luxurious double bed positioned centrally at the front. Additionally, the Business class section comprises 24 seats arranged in a 1-2-1 fully flat-bed configuration, utilizing Safran Unity designs. Each seat extends 78 inches in length and 22.5 inches in width, enhanced by 52-inch privacy walls, sliding doors, and adjustable dividers between center seats.

In Premium Economy, passengers will find 39 seats in a comfortable 2-3-2 configuration, boasting a generous 38-inch seat pitch and 19.2-inch seat width.

Meanwhile, Economy class consists of 223 seats arranged in a 3-3-3 layout, offering passengers a seat pitch of 31 inches and a seat width of 17.2 inches.
Advanced Entertainment and Charging Facilities
Passengers across all cabins will experience top-tier inflight entertainment through 4K OLED touchscreens. Business Elite travelers enjoy the largest screens at 32 inches, while Business passengers receive 22-inch screens. Premium Economy passengers can enjoy 15.6-inch screens, and Economy class is equipped with 13.3-inch screens.
All Business Elite and Business seats come with A/C power outlets and multiple USB charging options, including two USB-C ports and one USB-A port.
Premium Economy seats are thoughtfully designed with privacy-enhancing head wings, increased storage options, expandable side tables, recliner lounge comfort complete with calf rests, and four USB-C ports. Economy class passengers benefit from adjustable headrests and two USB-C charging points.
A signature design theme, featuring a distinctive canopy twist reminiscent of traditional Arabic tents, creates an elegant and cohesive ambiance throughout all cabin classes.
Seamless Connectivity and Enhanced Loyalty Perks
Riyadh Air loyalty members will experience uninterrupted connectivity courtesy of Viasat, enabling complimentary onboard streaming, social media access, web browsing, and gaming from gate to gate. Customers enrolled in the airline’s loyalty program will also enjoy free Wi-Fi access.
Moreover, Riyadh Air will be the first airline to introduce Panasonic Avionics’ innovative Modular Interactive (MI), a fully integrated inflight entertainment (IFE) interactive design and publishing system.

The airline’s meticulously chosen materials, carefully curated lighting, and sophisticated color scheme evoke understated elegance. Premium cabins feature Mocha Gold and veined stone accents contrasted with luxurious purple textures. The thoughtfully selected palette incorporates shades such as dark indigo, mocha, iridescent hues, skyline blue, sunset peach, and lavender, seamlessly reflecting Riyadh’s unique blend of traditional charm and modern luxury.
“Every detail within our cabins has been designed to offer passengers relaxing luxury, from the ergonomic, plush fabrics of the seats to the sophisticated technology integrated into our entertainment systems,” remarked Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas.
The airline did received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) earlier this month, it is expected that Riyadh Air will announce its flight network and inaugural flight date very soon.
