The new Airbus widebodies will be line-fit with Astrova, bringing state-of-the-art technology to both business and economy classes. In business class, 19-inch 4K OLED monitors will provide a luxurious viewing experience, while economy passengers will enjoy 12-inch screens. Additionally, the installation of Panasonic Avionics’ connectivity services in both cabins ensures that all passengers, regardless of their class of travel, can stay connected even at cruising altitudes.
Advanced Features of Panasonic Astrova for Enhanced Passenger Experience
Astrova by Panasonic Avionics promises to redefine in-flight entertainment for EGYPTAIR passengers on long-haul flights. With this latest IFE system, passengers will enjoy high-definition viewing capabilities and high-fidelity audio, thanks to Panasonic’s in-flight Bluetooth technology. This ensures an immersive entertainment experience, whether passengers are watching movies, TV shows, or listening to music.
One of the most notable features of Astrova is its fast-charging capability, offering up to 100W of direct current power via USB-C. This feature is particularly significant for modern travelers, enabling them to quickly charge their smartphones, tablets, and a vast majority of laptops at any point during the flight. This innovation addresses a common pain point for passengers, ensuring their devices are always powered and ready to use.
The Panasonic Avionics Vice President expressed excitement about launching Astrova in the African market with EGYPTAIR, emphasizing the goal to revolutionize the seatback experience. This collaboration reflects the airline’s pursuit of innovative solutions to enhance passenger engagement and satisfaction during flights.
EGYPTAIR is Creating a Memorable Cabin Experience with Panasonic’s Latest Technology
The new A350s, equipped with Astrova, will not only provide advanced IFE systems but also contribute to a memorable cabin experience. Economy class passengers, in particular, will benefit from the latest 4K screen technology, delivering a high-performance system and a cinematic experience. The addition of faster network speeds, higher storage capacity, and both USB-A and USB-C charging further enriches the in-flight experience.
The choice of the A350-900 for EGYPTAIR’s fleet addition complements the advanced IFE system with its modern cabin environment. The A350-900 is known for being one of the quietest airliner cabins, featuring ambient lighting technology that enhances passenger comfort. This combination of a tranquil cabin environment and state-of-the-art entertainment technology ensures that EGYPTAIR’s passengers will enjoy a truly memorable flying experience.
