Emirates Rolls Out Commercial Management Rotations Across Outstations

Emirates has announced a series of commercial management rotations across its outstations in West Asia, Central Asia, Indian Ocean, and East Asia. The move is part of the airline’s strategy to place UAE talent in commercial roles and strengthen its presence in key markets across its network.

Rotation of Commercial Team Members

Effective from 1 August, Emirates’ commercial team members will assume new roles. Chandana De Silva, currently Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives, will be appointed as Manager for Government Liaison for Sri Lanka and Maldives. Rashid Al Ardha, currently Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei, will move to a new post as Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives. Rashed Alfajeer, currently Country Manager for Iran and Central Asia, will take on the role of Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei. Mohamed Alhammadi, currently Area Manager for Bangladesh, will become Manager for Iran and Central Asia. Jaber Mohamed will be appointed as Area Manager for Bangladesh. Majid Al Falasi, currently Manager for Sudan, will move to a new role as Manager for Vietnam.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer for Emirates Airline, said that Emirates is proud of the calibre of talented UAE nationals who make up their workforce. Commercial Outstation Programme for UAE Nationals

One of many career paths offered by the Emirates Group to UAE nationals, the Emirates commercial outstation programme supports the airline’s objective to develop the skills and careers of UAE Nationals in its talent pool. The programme offers UAE Nationals the opportunity to gain exposure across the airline’s diverse commercial operations and build the skills necessary for future leadership positions. To support the future expansion plans of the airline, the Emirates Group ensures a steady pipeline of future commercial managers by continuously recruiting UAE National fresh graduates to join the programme.

Collaboration with Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy

In its steadfast commitment to its Emirati talent and investment in their career development, the Emirates Group has also recently begun a collaboration with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) to equip its UAE national managers stationed around the world with vital diplomatic skills under its Commercial Ambassador Leadership Programme.
